744 When I first started writing The Reborn, it was odd but not terribly unusual for a teenager to not have a cellphone. A lot has changed in 13 years.

Dads will worry about their girls' boyfriends, no matter how good they are.

And as long as she's responsible with how she uses her cell, I don't see the problem. Just remember: You might get your phone and your driver's license around the same time, but that doesn't mean you should use them together.

Also, there's this app called Life360 that my parents insist all of us have on our phones.

We call it the "Stalker App," because it tracks location.

One thing I've always liked about this comic is that it very naturally adapts to the changing times but not in a really like outwardly distracting way? Like honestly the only "odd" thing would be her not having a phone nowadays. But just like the natural inclusion of things like Facebook and smartphones. It feels like.. kind of timeless in a way, and I think it helps that the year (as far as I know) is never actually decided, which would probably otherwise mess with the suspension of disbelief. I have no idea if that made sense or if I used that phrase correctly. TLDR I like the slow, natural inclusion of up to date stuff bc it feels more connectable but not distracting aa I just love this comic...
