Q&A Demon was never quite the right word that I wanted, but it has the correct connotations of evil that I wanted. I had a lot of trouble phrasing this answer and it still doesn't quite sound right. Sorry if the answer is unclear. v_v

I'm taking it easy this week, so Thursday's update will be a second q&a with the chapter cover up on Jan. 2.

SFG In other words, you mean about the same in using "demon" as Inuyasha when they translated "yokai". I thought so.

Bah, I'm LDS, so I have no clue what Catholic theology or Japanese mythology have to say about demons. My traditions don't include them.
But I think I got it. Demons and angels are the same type of creature, just on different teams. That one particular clan of "demons" are angels. And they're not human in the traditional sense.

Quite different from my religion. We don't have demons, just angels and devils, both of which are merely human spirits without bodies, not distinctly different creatures. The only thing that separates them is (again) their allegiance. Angels for God; devils for Satan.

replies! @Sfg: Kind of, I think. The word demon does have the religious connotation as well, but it isn't quite the right word.

@GWL: Well, these aren't exactly my religious beliefs either. ^^;
I'm kind of picking and choosing from a number of myths and religions.

@Solara: WHAT GUY?
