404 I'll go more into this in the next chapter, but demons tend to view other clans with suspicion. A demon would rarely help a demon from another clan out of the goodness of their heart. Even the Welej expected payment went they helped the Naidraug. There's nothing really stopping Lyla from screwing them over, of course. But she is a princess represents her clan more than Adrian represents his.

Lyla makes several good points.

Hell, Bowser teamed up with the Mario Bros. a few times to work towards a common goal, ( even times when the former is unaware of it) while Bowser plans on what his very next move would be after the goal has been achieved, out loud, with his nemesis in that very room, DURING their temporary truce!

And there goes the chapter title. Interesting enough Lyla does seem to be showing a lot more of a dark side then we are use to seeing from her in YES PRINCESS! Wonder if that will be a factor later on. Speaking of Luke and Adrian are still MIA. Wonder what happened to them.

Evil is as evil does. Besides, The key to dealing with devils is know exactly what you are giving up. Surplus ingredients and a lock of hair... actually that can be bad come to think of it.

Ahhh, she has a point...I think Adrian is just trying to point out that being evil vs. DOING evil is big difference. And humans can truly be the evilest of all!

Don't y'mean the gods, Lyla?

And she has a point. Just because she's evil doesn't mean she's Angela's enemy.

I noticed something like a green filter on these last two pages... You know, these demons actual act hardly any better than the human characters I've seen in other stories. I can hardly tell the difference. They're really hesitant to make deals, and never do anything out of the goodness of their heart, only for their own gain. Then again, I guess that a lot of real people are just like that.

But that brings up this question. Surplus ingredients yeah that makes sense to hoard but why Adrian's hair? This "devil" is planning something. I wouldn't trust her especially after saying that.

replies! @Drache: Bowser and Mario have such a complicated relationship

@Specter: YP! is more of a comedy. And the guys are off...doing manly things.

@Linden: Not really, actually.

@Razor: I never said Adrian was smart. He probably overpaid Lyla.

@sfg: Well, to be fair, Lyla has killed at least one person. Though that wasn't on purpose

@Shadow: True. Lyla has an odd viewpoint on the world. Even I don't fully understand her

@GWL: Actually, all the scenes with Angela and the Princess have a green filter. It's the light from the potion.
And for the most part, we've only seen the most human-like demons

@Specter: But she's so tiny and cute!

but tiny and cute are to be trusted least of all. Haven't you seen Monty Python and the Holy Grail? Rabbit with the long teeth.

It's not that weird. Good and Evil are not the same as Good and Bad.

Lyla might be evil, but she's not necessarily bad. So just because she's evil doesn't mean she's Angela's enemy.
