230 It seems to me in stories, movies, manga etc. whenever the writers don't want the character to use a cell phone, the battery is dead or it can't pick up a signal. I don't often see a character dropping a phone, unless it's in a non-serious situation, and then it's usually in a toilet. (note to self, why haven't I done that in MDJ...?)

Anyway, I thought that having Ginny being so upset that her hands were shaking and she dropped the phone seemed a little fresher. But I'm sure someone is reading this thinking "GAWD! I'm so SICK of seeing characters dropping cell phones all the time! Can't they just *once* have a dead battery?". But it's not something I can remember seeing in a serious situation.

I don't think I've seen anyone fumble with a cell phone as a way to keep them from using it. Then again, I don't watch very many movies or shows. So, meh, what do I know? XD

Though I have seen characters fumble with doors, tripping when they run, etc because of their fear. But oh well.

Ah, but you know what would've been pretty hilarious? If the phone just suddenly flashed on the screen these words: "Screw this. You're on your own!"

And then randomly exploded into little itty bitty pieces.

Now I don't think I've seen THAT happen for a cell phone. XDD

Ah, well. Your art's getting better and I can't wait to see the next page. I hope nothing bad happens to Ginny. I like her. ;_;

i like Catoni15's idea.
I'd make the author sneak from behind with a eraser and just take out the phone of her hands, or Why just not let the monsters grab the phone and break it into pieces?

replies :D @Catoni15: You're right; I don't think I've seen that before! XD

@MacSimon: I didn't think of having the monsters grabbing it, but then again, I'm not quite sure they know what a cell-phone is. They're a little behind on the latest technology
